The Lincoln Midwest Ballet Company and Artistic Director Shari True have announced the auditions for the 2012 Nutcracker ballet. The Nutcracker production is celebrating its 28th year and has become a cherished Lincoln holiday tradition, featuring more than 200 local dance students, professional guest artists and a live orchestra. Performances will be held at the Lied Center for Performing Arts on Saturday, December 15, 2012, at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. and Sunday, December 16, 2012, at 2 p.m.

Auditions will be held Saturday, September 8, 2012 at the Temple Building, 12th and R streets, on the campus of the University of Nebraska- Lincoln.
